Great blues jam on Thursday’s. Best players I have ever heard for a jam. I sat in and they did an amazing job of backing me up. The leader can sing and play his ass off!! So good. Had a great time. I will def go back. ~ Jeremiah

We had a private party in the bar room for my Moms 65th birthday and it was just outstanding. Nancie was excellent is coordinating the event. Darren and Kelly worked the party and the service and attention to detail was impeccable. The food was excellent as it always is at Waterwheel, but impressive they were able to deliver great food for a group of 28 at the same time. This has been a favorite for some time to dine, and will continue to be a “go to” for our family. Thank you Waterwheel team for a delivering a very special day for my Mom! ~ Steve

Excellent food, excellent service, awesome people Love this place ~ Joanne

We were a group of six who just finished a 9-mile hike in Cliff Park. We decided to try something different and we were delighted with our selections. The service, atmosphere and food were all great. Definitely recommend dining at the Waterwheel Cafe. We were all so full after dinner, we weren’t able to have dessert — even though the selections looked really good. I tried the Vietnamese soup – excellent and had the special bass dinner with jasmine rice and vegetables. Could not finish the entire meal and took some home. ~ Charisma

Just a “happened by” place. Believe me, I will happen by this place every time! GREAT FOOD,awesome service, just the right portions so there’s room for desert! ~ Rob

We have lived in the area for 35 years now. This place is great. All of our food was exceptional from starters to the final coffee. Do yourself a favor and have dinner here. Everything is freshly cooked not microwaved, local fresh foods, wonderful wait staff. We loved it and will be back often. ~ Kenneth

An absolute gem nestled in Milford. May have to wait for lunch/dinner service but it’s certainly worth the wait. While you wait you can grab a quick coffee or cookie at their bakery which remains open during the lunch/dinner switch. I recommend the dirty hippie, an excellent pick me up for the day and very delicious. If I didn’t live 2 hours away I would frequent here daily. Must go! ~ Matthew

Cozy ambiance, friendly staff. Had special tuna open face sandwich on whole grain toast with bacon avocado cheese & tomatoe. Came with side salad of macaroni. Delicious. Had ordered a latte but the waitress forgot it. Baked goods looked yummy. ~ Bibliopogist

Always a great place!! Been coming for years. Friendly staff, nice outdoor deck seating, cappuccino & scones to salmon soup and duck pate, everything is exceptional. ~ Ed

Excellent food, atmosphere and caring service. Glad I was able to try this local gem with my mom and kids this morning while in Milford. The Gristmill Omelette was fluffy and yummy as well as the whole wheat pancakes with fruit. Thanks guys, keep up the great work ~ Maggie

No trip to Milford would be complete without a visit to this delightful cafe. Located just a hint off the beaten path in an old mill next to a babbling brook, the cafe offers an excellent selection of pastries, local goods (jams, honey…), and breads. You can take things to go, but your best bet is to sit down enjoy the atmosphere inside, or enjoy eating on the porch streamside. Try some coffee, a pineapple scone or a raspberry danish one of my favorites. Breakfast is so reasonably priced, you can’t go wrong! If you aren’t into sweets, they also create breakfast sandwiches, eggs, and pancakes with a flair. Lunch is a little bit pricier but is creative and delicious. I’m never disappointed in my visits to this lovely establishment and you won’t be either.. ~ MB WorldTraveler

The Waterwheel just keeps getting better and better as the years go by. Feels like you’re dining in New Hope, PA. Lovely surroundings. Delicious food. Very reasonably priced. Recommend highly. ~ Jeanne

My wife took me out on an impromptu dinner date here last month, and I was pleasantly surprised at what a hidden gem this place is!  The food is top notch – the lamb meatballs were delicious and the flowerless chocolate ganache dessert was quite good (I consider myself a flowerless ganache expert).  Overall, the menu is an interesting mix of traditional options and Vietnamese dishes.  The restaurant sits beside a water mill, nestled inside a beautiful forest line.  We really enjoyed the view from our table.  Otherwise, the architecture inside is cozy, and there is a unique cavernous feel as you move from the bar area to the connecting dining room.  In a way, it almost felt like walking through a haunted house, but I say that in the best possible way, only to indicate that the Waterwheel is a charming experience from top to bottom, and I highly recommend it. ~ Bekim

Had brunch last weekend with my girlfriend here, and we’re getting ready to head there for another brunch because everything was so amazing. The service was professional, caring, and genuine. They love what they do. You can see it. The food was otherworldly. The eggnog croissant pecan French toast was just to die for, and the huevos rancheros were delicious and not too spicy but not bland at all. Even the drinks, the hot chocolate and the iced chai were outstanding. Needless to say, we’re chomping at the bit for more, so we’re going again today! ~ Douglas

My husband I ate at the Waterwheel Café for Brunch, and we are so happy that we did! The atmosphere of this place is so unique—at the back of the café, there are tables by a large window where you can view the old waterwheel! While we were visiting, the waterwheel was running, so we were able to see some of the moving parts as we enjoyed our brunch.

While we waited for our meal, we were able to take a self-guided tour of all three levels of the waterwheel. My husband loved being able to look at all of the wheels and gears up close, learn how they work, and see them from multiple levels and angles. For brunch, I enjoyed the Crème Brûlée French Toast, and my husband had Prosciutto and Goat Cheese on a Baguette. The dessert case at the Waterwheel Café is fantastic. We ended up ordering a crème brûlée for dessert, because my french toast was just so delicious!
We highly recommend a visit to the Waterwheel Café if you are visiting Milford. ~ Shannon R

My new favorite restaurant! We were in the area and in a mood for something new. I am SO glad we found the Waterwheel cafe. The food was great and so was the service.
We had the breakfast special “Cuba style Huevos Rancheros”. I am looking forward to my next visit and try something new. ~ Mimi

Wow what a find. Amazing food and friendly staff. I also really love the rustic/ country setting. ~ Shaun

I often start my day with Breakfast at the Waterwheel.. Their omelettes are delicious however I prefer their wide variety of pastry and desserts.. Bottomless coffee and great service. ~ Denise

Food was great! Service was great! Sat outside and it was so relaxing hearing the water running in the creek! ~ Sue

We breakfast, lunch & brunch at “The Wheel.” The eggs taste so fresh, I swear they have a hen coop outside the back door! Try the scones — made fresh every day! I think I’ve experienced every item on the breakfast & lunch menus & have NEVER been disappointed. Definitely put The Wheel on your “must” list! ~ Carrie
